Sunburn is a result of overexposure of sun’s UV rays. Sometime it is very painful. Actually sun rays kills the living skin cells and then white blood cells removes them. It makes your skin warm and red which is known as sunburn. If you are the one, who is affected with sunburn, there here are some useful home remedies for you which will help you.

Aloevera is a very effective remedy for sunburn. You can apply it in many ways. Take some leaves of aloevera and keep them in refrigerator for some time. After that peel off the top layer of leaves and apply it directly to the sunburn affected areas on your body. Other method is to use aloevera juice on affected area. For severe sunburn, keep it all the time on affected area.

Cucumber also works well for sunburn. Rub the fresh cucumber slices on the affected area and it will give you a cool feeling and it will also reduce the sunburn. You can apply the potato slices too.

Mixture of oatmeal and egg white is a next useful treatment for sunburn. Apply this paste on affected area and leave it for 20-25 minute then rinse it off with cold water.

Vinegar is also a popular sunburn remedy. Take some cotton and soak it in the mixture of water and vinegar for some time. After that apply it in affected areas and get relief from the sun bun.

Apply a mixture of tomato juice and buttermilk on the affected area. Then leave it for 25-30 minutes. After that rinse it off with cold water. It is another natural remedy for the sunburn.

Make a mixture of one part olive oil and one part vinegar, apply it to the affected areas, and wash it after one hour. This is also effective for sunburn.

It is better to prevent the sunburn rather than treating it. So you should try to keep your skin away from the direct contact from the sun rays. Whenever you go outside in sun apply sunscreen on your all exposed parts. You can carry an umbrella too on a very sunny day.
