Taking care of your feet

foot careOur feet do bear all the body weight and they are responsible to move us from one place to another, yet most of the time people do ignore their foot care. Healthy and beautiful feet also improves your personality. Whenever we think about our body we always think about our body shape, good face, hair style and skin care. It never occurs to our mind that feet are also important part of our body and they also need care. However it is not very difficult to get the healthy and beautiful feet. You can easily get healthy and beautiful feet by using these tips in your daily life.

The first step is to wash and clean your feet in a proper way, scrub your feet and remember not to use too hot water in winter. Apply foot lotion or foot cream daily. Massage you foot gently until lotion or cream absorbs.

To make you feet feel soft and to give them a relaxed feeling, you can also apply this method. Drench your feet in warm water for 20 minutes or so. After feet are soaked, remove both of your feet from the basin. Dry your feet with a clean towel. Apply some moisturizing foot lotion and put on a pair of clean cotton socks. If you want to sleep with these cotton socks on then you can do so or you can also remove them after one or half hour.

If your skin is dry, apply cream or petroleum jelly to feet and heels, but avoid the area between your toes because it is harmful for your feet. To remove dead skin on your feet
use a pumice stone. Rinse feet and towel dry once all the dead skin is removed.

If you have been sitting for a long time then stretch your feet and also avoid sitting for long period of time with crossed legs. The easiest way to get relief from tired and swollen feet is to place your feet on a pillow and rest for about twenty minutes.

Every time when you buy a new shoes or any foot wear you should ensure that it is comfortable and fits properly. Because shape of your feet does change with age as a result of the daily pressure.

At last it is necessary that you take care of your foot as you take care of your other body parts. As everyone knows that if they do get damaged then a simple job like walking can also become a painful exercise.
